Day 3 - Shinjuku
Good morning!! After waking up early I knew there was a breakfast place I was eager to check out, so off I ventured to Nakau in my current home, Akasaka. I was blown away with how good and cheap this was, wow. The highlight was the raw egg on rice and now I have to resist coming here every morning!
I then headed off to my true destination, a headspa I had see on YouTube and was dying to try out. I arrived early and was like, oh, sweet! I can head to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden… sadly I was in for an unpleasant surprise. As I drew ever so closer to the garden I started sneezing. When I finally made it outside Okido gate, I was dying. No joke, I sneezed every 10 seconds. I desperately pulled out one of my disposable masks but it was too late. Something had me extremely allergic and I had no idea what. With my hand desperately searching google I turned around to try to look for a place with allergy meds. As I made my way to Lawsons I spotted a CVS and with teary red eyes and a nose dripping under my mask managed to find allergy meds google told me to get! Instead of the park I sat at Samon Park and desperately took the meds. This gave me time to have a lovely video chat with my dad and a call with my brother at least! Now, I waited here for my appointment time instead of anything else. Was not worth the risk
The Head Spa was EPIC. Super relaxing and super accommodating with my lack of Japanese. At least I did pretty good understanding basic questions to my utter joy 😁
Now that all of this was over, I wandered FINALLY into the park that had caused me so much grief. Allergy meds seemed to have worked and I was able to enjoy the sights of this very busy, but nice park.
With that all finished I wandered back into the city.
Stopped by a Pronto and HAD to get the Pokémon collab meal with a drink!
I got this super cute keychain and the Gengar plastic card. So worth it!
With a hunger for dinner I headed back to Akasaka with a sushi restaurant in mind.
Midori Suahi Akasaka. This was delicious, though I can’t say herring roe is my favorite! Still, a lovely meal. The raw shrimp was my favorite!!! Wow!
With some energy still in the tank I wandered Akasaka BIZ Tower. On my journeys by it, I was always super shocked to see a huge amount of Harry Potter stuff! They have a cafe I’m dying to try and likely will on my next day. I checked out the shops and stopped by a Konbini for a sweet treat. What a fun day!
